Just to put perspective on this:
Under Trump :
North Korea - at negotiating table
China - militarily slowing down in S. China Sea (somewhat)
Russia - staying in their box, military at home
Iran - no military expansion
Southern Border - contained, migration at a trickle

Under Biden:
North Korea - broken off talks, shooting missiles again
China - expanding rapidly again in S. China Sea
Russia - moving militarily in Ukraine admitting they are at full scale military operations
Iran - nuclear refining spun up again, expanding influence
Southern Border - wide open, migration spigot is in full blast

But hey, at least we don't have mean Tweets.....

SSgt Addison R. - There is also an element of testing the new guy in officer, regardless of who it is. Did a paper in college on the "testing" of new Presidents and it is really interesting to see how many "enemies" use that 1st couple of months to see how much they can get away with... have a great week!

How did a recon configured 135 allow a Mig to even get close before ducking back to international air? Suspect a deliberately allowed catch to make Putin know we were not going to roll over...yet.

MSgt Danny Hope thanks for the correction. If this is the case, and I don't doubt you, then Russia was actually a belligerent (in my eyes) and this could have gotten messy quickly.

SSG Samuel Kermon - True. But the aircrews on both sides usually make an effort to keep the encounter professional.
