What is the problem? The life in rural parts of the country and world for that matter is much different than that in urban areas. Are the residents of these rural areas demanding this or just the city slickers from huffing post whining because they see something they don't understand?

Do we expect a private business to remain in operation with no customers? This is supply and demand. A hospital costs money to build, physicians, surgeons, nurses, staff cost money. If there is a dwindling customer base do you continue operations?? I have an idea! The Federal Government could give subsidies to these businesses. Oh, no, that will not work. Remember the millionaire and billionaire line your candidates love to use against these greedy corporations. Looks like capitalism to me. Maybe since one political party can muster up the funds to drive citizens in to vote they could drive these mothers in for medical care. Or we could just bash Trump.

The thing is politically, nobody cares. These people are poor and just like in the inner cities, are only a priority during an election cycle and are all but guaranteed to vote for a particular party
