Unfortunately the government cannot grant rights. Those rights are what the government is (supposed to be) restrained from taking away from We The People. Each excessive law is a dent in our rights, especially when 90% are NOT enforced. And the more laws, the more contradictions you have. The more contradictions, the more lawyers can get people off even though they are guilty of the original law!
