I see what the article means, but placing your hands where it's comfortable to you IN MY OPINION is the most important thing. I've seen folks max their push ups just like that. I've varied my hand position to manipulate the number of push ups done. Start regular, widen, bring them back, and close into the sides (power push ups), then back to my regular start position. Allowing the back to sag, butt too high, or the ever present head bob is just another way for the grader to keep repeating the last number you did correctly. Good article. Not sure it would work for me to just use one position tho.

CPT (Join to see) - I've tried Yoga....I would recommend this to every person who've spent quality time pissing me off. I did regular yoga while in Walter Reed, and quickly discovered that there are certain things men aren't destined to do. Problem with that is the instructor was a man. But I discovered another level of pain I don't ever want to see again. I'm too stupid to quit and too arrogant to give in. I'm gonna hit the gym tomorrow and "Break some shit" with my trainer.

CPT (Join to see) Great article, I will pass it on. I tell people to focus on pushing away from the ground, pull the shoulder blades together and breathing properly.

Good point SFC. That was one thing I've been caught not doing and have seen others do the same thing. You will NOT do too many push ups if you are holding your breath the entire time. You will burn out fast as all hell, and the moment you do get air into your system, it's too late, but you'll feel that you have energy all of a sudden.

During my military career it was always my easiest event from spending hours lifting in the gym
