MAJ James Woods - 5 G is not so important that it should be placed in the same bandwidth that we need for GPS. Radar and such each have their own bands to be in and I see no reason to allow commercial enterprises the right to interfere with more important (especially military essential) uses. That is what the FCC has been doing for decades.

SGT Herbert Bollum I agree. However I currently work in the DoD GPS community and if it was as simple as that many of the experts in the community wouldn’t be up in arms by the decision the FCC has made. We’ve really taken for granted commercial and military GPS and there’s a reason military is looking at alternatives as private commercial industries continue to expand band requirements. That’s the difference between us and both Russia and China; we tend to let Capitalism win out.

MAJ James Woods - and that is a shame when it comes to something this important in the military realm. The government can take your home by eminent domain but let commercial concerns run rough shod over military needs for $$$$$$$$

SGT Herbert Bollum Well we are talking about the same free capitalism where a company will use lobbyists to ensure they monopolize certain small area markets to prevent fair competition. I.e. some small cities or counties that only allow one wireless:cable/satellite/internet provider. Money matters more.

Does it also threaten our health? Was reading about Body Align which produced a hologram to help combat effects of 5G on the body

No more than putting a cellphone screen up against your eyes as part of a VR headset I would assume. All technology are rumored or hypothesized to have its health risks from power lines to cell towers to microwaves.
