From my personal experience, I think DoDEA schools are a step above many public schools. Of course there's always some bad apple schools in the mix but I'd give DoDEA an A minus overall.

Overall excellent. Even with limited enrollment which limited number of classes, they did a better job at coping with EFMP and IEPs than the public school system. Teachers and administrators were involved with students and open to speaking with parents. We had 10 years of DoDEA schools and I was very pleased.
