Top officials with the four major health systems in the Portland metro area issued a fresh warning on Wednesday about the surge of COVID-19 resources that is straining resources statewide, burning out health workers and sickening unvaccinated people.
Statewide, over 1000 patients are hospitalized with severe COVID-19.
Ninety-two percent of Oregon’s total hospital beds are in use, and 93% of the state’s ICU beds are being used.

I mean covid isn't the only illness out there so yeah, anyone who is or feels sick should stay home regardless of vaccination status. Also, I didn't know it was a lot of people going to the ER to get tested. Interesting.

Portland has a large homeless and transient population. It truly has to be seen to be believed. Many of them go to the emergency room for care that most people would go to a regular doctor for because it's hard for them to coordinate care with a regular office.
