Thanks for reminding us that life is getting back to normal to the military bases on the east coast now that Hurricane Matthew has dissipated SP5 Mark Kuzinski.
Reading about Joint Base Charleston, S.C. reminds me that Charleston was under siege for much of the civil war. Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor was bombarded by the Confederacy in 1861 and then Morris Island was fought over [including the 54th Massachusetts Regiment] and Fort Sumter bombarded by land and sea by the Federal forces.

That is good that it was not as bad as it could have been, I remember "Andrew" there were a few more pieces to pick up.....Homestead AFB was wiped off the landscape on that one
