This is a great Post and subject for discussion, PO1 William "Chip" Nagel, and we certainly need to do more planning... Over the course of History, there have been periods of extreme cold and periods of blistering heat and planet Earth has survived... That said, on a global basis we need to make changes to pollutants that escape into the Earth's atmosphere, but it needs to be done on a global basis not one country doing one thing and another country doing something else... It would seem like we are trying to do too much as one country and the rest of the world is not in sync... That is my opinion based on what I see happening around the globe... The changes necessary need to be properly planned out in some sort of phased in process that keeps everyone on the same page, agreeing to the plan... China for one emits tremendous amounts of pollutants into the atmosphere as they use coal fired systems for electricity production, but seemingly get away with it.

Totally agree, Sgt (Join to see). There have been efforts to get everyone to agree to a plan . . .
Ine heavy polluter can ruin it for for the globe when the toxicity gets up into the jet stream where the toxicity from hugely explosive volcanoes also ends up.

Wasn't the temp in the 90's in Florida, recently!? The say it causes "bleached coral". If I'm not mistaken bleached coral is dead coral. That is what the Great Barrier Reef in AU was experience in the past decade too, though there has been some amount of recovery.
