In my view, Accolades are due Paul E. Dillard, National Commander of the American Legion for his article... He seems to be on top of things involved, and I agree with you that it is disgraceful that our military men and woman have had to put up with these many years... Thank you for posting this, Lt Col Charlie Brown!!!

I’ve always thought that Walter Reed is the best hospital in the country. Looks like I could have made a fatal mistake if I had chosen to go there as a patient needing critical care.

I would not hesitate to go to Walter Reed if I needed a procedure. Because the Barracks are in bed shape IMHO isn't reflected by the quality of care these heroes provide.

IMO this all goes back to the misguided decisions to contract out facility maintenance that were made by all the services. Walter Reed is old and things failing can be expected but locally base housing constructed in the 90s had go be completely rehabbed because of mold issues that the contracted maintenance managers simply ignored.
