Thanks for reminding us SP5 Mark Kuzinski that President Richard Nixon set February 1, 1972, as the deadline for the withdrawal of an additional 45,000 U.S. troops which had begun in the fall of 1969. Unfortunately Vietnamization was a failure for the nation of South Vietnam which was overrun by the People's Republic of Vietnam AKA North Vietnam in 1975.
