I understand, however, for all his inherent limitations of personality and oft perceived aspects and or instances of irrationality, I reached the conclusion, historically, some time back, that he could frequently be, and was, a brilliant applied political scientist. One might obviously rather reluctant to tend to view him at all in that light given Watergate, given all his countless foibles oddities and eccentricities, however, he frequently realized things, like the episode mentioned here, as well as going to Peking/Beijing , which, even if he quite likely found them personally distastreful to his personal philosophy and values, he went and did them anyway. Watergate, for him, was the inevitable result of all his limitations; I merely point out that, despite his often woeful hyperbole, that does not, however much admitting it might go against the grain, diminish his basic and fundamental talent as an applied political scientist, even if his language was as filled quite frequently with rather colorful invective as it evidently was, that's all I'm trying to say, I'd be grateful, of course, for any feedback and or thoughts, of course.
