In my youth, my father told me on several occasions that all of the matter in the Universe revolved around one point, and that point was NOT me.
When I got to be a smart ass teenager in advanced placement physics, I pointed out that with enough data points, it was possible, (immeasurably difficult, but possible) to write the equation of relative motion between myself and any other body in motion, with me as the center of that motion. It did not go well for me... I bowed to the superior strength of his argument: If I wanted to use the car Friday night I would shut up and get back to work.
