New View of North Star Reveals Spotted Surface

We're so used to seeing spectacular images from space-based observation platforms these days that it's easy to forget how much we still depend on ground-based platforms to study space and it's myriad of objects. As a former ocean navigator I am always interested in stories about the Navigator Stars. We've been distracted of late waiting for Betelgeuse, another Navigator Star, to go Supernova in the near future
