The Navy on Friday announced that it paused the deployment of one of its warships due to a COVID-19 outbreak, The Associated Press reported.
In a statement on Friday, the department said the USS Milwaukee is staying in port at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay where it had stopped for a scheduled port visit.
The USS Milwaukee, a litorral combat ship, departed from Mayport, Fla. on Dec. 14 to make its way into the U.S. Southern Command region.

Each new COVID infection around the world could turn into the next "BLACK PLAGUE". We joke about all the new variants, but one of them could be a real killer. COVID19 is a shifter, the common cold and annual flu are not.

The Navies of the world live and work in close quarters. If one person has the virus it can spread. Flu, colds can also. Fortunately the symptoms were minor. Have a great year my dedicated brothers and sisters. Another example of the importance of having been vaccinated.
