Humans can detect sounds in a frequency range from about 20 Hz to 20 kHz (Kilohertz)... Frequency wavelength dampens out over distance and in a vacuum does not propagate very far at all... Even light frequencies diminish over very large distances... Visible light from 300 light years away stretches out (wavelength gets longer) and becomes only visible to cameras at the infrared frequency range... If I have my physics correct...
