MRE Review - Menu 4 - Cheese & Veggie Omelet (2008)

Requirements for use:
1. Being in the field or deployed
2. Tired as hell and not giving a damn
3. Box of MRE's
4. No sudden details
5. Your PSG hating you so much that while you are still lining up the trucks, everyone else got the good ones.
6. Take away Soldiers weapon
7. Open the box that was ransacked 90 minutes ago by your PLT, after you're FINALLY done being pissed the PSG kept making you move the truck five million times to get that last 99th of an inch.
8. Look inside and realize this is the ONLY one left, and the entire PLT is there laughing their asses off at you.
9. Repeat as necessary.

Anyone remember the dreaded pork patty and beef patty? Freeze dried meat like substance. Ugh. Rehydration couldn't save those. Perhaps tons of Tabasco but the original MRE's didn't have Tabasco...

The only good part about those was you could have an entire combat load of pork patty MREs and it was only half the weight of the other meals. Remember biting off the part of the dried fruit and then mixing it with water in your mouth? Those were the days!

SPC Kevin Ford - I think the freeze dried version would've been better on the eyes. Looking at a jell laden turd with nowhere near enough Tabasco to help it was worse. Now tell the youngsters we ate these without a heater and see what they say.
