My wife had an Uncle that was a code talker. He never came back although he was not listed as KIA or MIA.

Wondering if there is some way the museum can be in cooperation with the National Park Service. There are a number of Navajo Code Talker memorials, monuments, and statues. The Navajo nation takes a lot of deserved pride in those who volunteered. Many who served, since, choose the Marines as a tradition. Apparently, there are a number of very local Navajo Code Talker Museums. Wondering if they could become a Code Talker consortium.
Apparently, the first know code talkers served during WWI!
"Ultimately, approximately 534 American Indian code talkers were deployed in World War II. The U.S. Marine Corps, which operated the largest code-talking program, sent approximately 420 Diné (Navajo) language speakers to help win the war in the Pacific."

During World Wars I and II, hundreds of Native American servicemen from more than twenty tribes used their Indigenous languages to send secret, coded messages enemies could never break. Known as code talkers, these men helped U.S. forces achieve military victory in some of the greatest battles of the twentieth century.

Navajo Code Talkers of World War II - documentary ~1 hour - in their own words.
"Navajo Code Talkers of WWII provides viewers with highly personal insights from a group of Native American war heroes regarding their service on behalf of the United States and the Navajo Nation. The secret code these marines developed based on the unwritten Navajo language was never broken, giving American troops an upper hand in many battles that ultimately led to Japan’s surrender in 1945. Filmed on locations in Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Saipan, Guam, and Tinian during two trips with six USMC World War II veterans and their family members, the documentary reveals the wartime stories of these heroes as they travel on their journey of remembrance.
