On the topic; I feel like since the 1st time that particular deduction was taken from My paycheck 43 years ago, and every pay period since, The Government has lied to me and is in breech of contract. When The 1st pull was taken it was My understanding that at the age of 62 I could retire on full benefits. Some where in that 43 years that changed to, "Well at 62, you can draw but it'll be at a reduced rate, if You wait until 67.5 You can have it all", not what that original contract stated. I want My money back, with interest. I can handle it a lot better than the G'ment.

Social Security withdraws and hoping to draw on Social Security is frustrating. Rick and I are in the same generation and understand that government continuously moving the goalpost. In the next few years the SS / FICA tax rate will go up and the 'full' retirement will move to 70 years old.
I find it interesting that when the Biden administration removes a Trump appointee the press handles it as 'good riddance' or in this case straight news. I seem to remember wailing and gnashing of teeth when the Trump administration removed an Obama appointee. It is just the MSM 'normal' bias.

What’s social security? Oh you mean that thing that gets taken out of my paycheck I’ll probably never live to collect on since by the time I reach my late 60’s or probably my early 80’s with how they keep moving up the age to when you can collect I’ll probably die before I can draw a single check.
