The Marine Corps announced it is again pausing all water-based activities of its new Amphibious Combat Vehicle, or ACV, after two were disabled in heavy surf off the California coast on Tuesday.
Although the incident did not result in injuries to the Marines and sailors aboard the ACVs, the Marine Corps said it is pausing operations "out of an abundance of caution" in a statement released Wednesday evening.

Pretty sad that something that should be able to withstand Combat conditions can't even function in a training exercise without endangering the lives of Marines or getting them ashore safely. Combat has enough hazards without sub standard equipment being one of them !

Don’t understand the road wheel/no track setup. Such a change in lower weight in the water and traction ashore. If you lost a propulsion bucket in the water you could actually throw it in gear and use the track to move the vehicle
