I'm an assault survivor and the people who commit these horrible crimes come from all walks of life. I understand the feelings of another Marine, but I'm glad the military is finally doing something with these predators.

My knee jerk response is to say a true Marine would never commit such a horrible act- I do feel that way in my heart. As a mother, grandmother, my thoughts are much more "violent" I have no compassion for someone who takes advantage of another who can't defend themselves. Marines are protectors of the gate- we stop the bad guys. I'm embarrassed that the bad guy wore an E.G.A.

Capt Tom Brown
Of course if proven to be true in a court of law, civilian or military, this sort of act would merit the harshest treatment possible with no mercy shown. But I am willing to let the system run its course as there are no facts or details made public in this article. Not quite like yr Bergdahl case.

Capt Tom Brown - very true, a part of me hopes it ISN'T true ( a Marine, and all of the psychological pain that child has endured/will endure). But if it is proven that he is guilty, he deserves everything done to him and more.

I would hope that it's not true SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. However, if it is (and it does APPEAR so), he needs to be put away forever. These types of sexual predators can't be rehabilitated. They don't get well. TSgt Dawn Premock GySgt Melissa Gravila

This article makes me ill- I remember years ago, being stationed at P.I.S.C. and there was a "Marine" (notice the quotation marks- true Marines wouldn't do this shit) charged with assault on his child. They brought him into the mess Hall, I refused to serve him. If he was drowning I wouldn't waste my time spitting on him
