Browning was a four letter word where I grew up. Hartford was the home of Colt, everything else were pretenders.

I can understand, Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen, but that mindset somehow seems somewhat unfair. John Browning designed the M1911 which was one of the most successful, widely used and imitated handguns in history. Guess what company got the contract from the U.S. government to manufacture this magnificent and enduring weapon? It was the COLT MANUFACTURING COMPANY!

SGT (Join to see) Kind of like Edison invented the light bulb, but in later years Westinghouse and GE was who made and sold them.
