Nothing to see here but hyperbole from a political operative. Biden was within his right to criticize how that Captain was treated, and he didn't say anything that conflicted with the Constitution.

Agreed. There's nothing in the reporting showing that the former VP "fails to understand" civilian control of the military, nor any direct attributable facts to that point. The author is concocting a bait-and-switch fallacy to score some kind of political points. The VP simply disagrees with the civilian judgement displayed in the case. There are arguably good reasons for removing the CAPT, and also factors in his favor. What's very troubling to me is the petty personal behavior of the former civilian (acting) Secretary of the Navy.
