Carter is obviously anxious to hand off his trophy for worst President ever, but Obama doesn't need any help. He's going to win the title all by himself.

Great news the idiot who negotiated that deal where we gave N Korea food and they did nothing in return has an opinion. Sadly the current idiot agrees with him. Gald to have the the two worst presidents in American history working to bring middle east peace to a conclusion. Why does anyone ever ask Jimmy Carter what he thinks?

Despite calling everyone idiots, you never made any point about the idea of recognizing a Palestinian state and it's impact on the United States. What is your strategic viewpoint on the issue of a Palestinian State?

good question, I am glad that you ask that.
The HUGE problem with any form of a Palestinian state is that the Palestinian side does not and will not accept the existence of Israel. So there is no possible two state solution at this time, that has been tried since Carter and repeating that process is pure idiocy. So you have to change the minds of the Palestinian leadership and their people to have any chance of peace. With the current status quo they will not accept such a solution. So we need to alter the situation.
Step one, the US needs to completely reject the idea of a Palestinian state. Let's be honest here, there are no Palestinian people, they are Jordanians where were kicked out of Jordan under the leadership of Nobel Peace Prize winner, and terrorist Yasser Arafat.
It will take a while to get traction on the idea that there is no legit Palestinian gov because our foolish leaders encouraged this notion, and most of the world went along. We painted ourselves into this corner but we can get out of it.
The Palestinians need to be given a choice, you are Syrians, Egyptians, Lebanese, or Israeli. Choose you nation and that is it. Then once you are part of that nation, you are now that nations problem. If the Syrians on the Golan hts cause a problem and the Israelis attack in response and take that territory again, it will be Israel, and all the people who live there will be Israeli, like it or not.
The reason for continued failure of the peace process in the area is that every POTUS dating back to Carter has tried to play nice with the aggressors. That strategy of appeasement simply incentivizes their aggression with no penalty for that same aggression. What needs to change here, is to remove the rewards. Let aggression have it's natural consequences and we will see a lot less aggression, and eventually peace.

Jimmy never met a Dictator or terrorist he didn't like. Heck, he gave Iranians our Embassy and it's contents just to make friends. Anyone that listens to diplomatic advice from him is stupid.

CDR Jon Corrigan - If not for Habitat for Humanity, he would have no redeeming value. I remember all the damage he did to the nation. Could be in part my Buick Electra 225 with a 455 CI engine while the embargo was in full force.

MCPO Roger Collins - I recall the gas lines quite well at age 13; even/odd license plate numbers determined when we could purchase gas. Maybe we could try that with food stamps and grocery stores.

I think that you have a very good point. Just take a look at the elections that he or his "Carter Center" has been observers for at -
https://www.cartercenter.org/peace/democracy/observed.html#elections
That is a lot of 'peaceful' results.
