CPT Jack Durish, I've put this comment (or something like it) on many similar discussion threads regarding the ACA. "I worked for group health insurance companies for over 23 years. Everyone in that business, even neophytes, knew that the ACA would run counter to virtually every commonly accepted principle of group insurance, and that the results would be catastrophic." For profit companies can't continue to sustain losses just because the government wishes it. So your speculation about "single payer federal insurance" could be spot on, because our government cares little or nothing about increasing the deficit. COL Jean (John) F. B.

I was working at Social Security when Medicare came into existence. We all predicted that it would raise the cost of healthcare for everyone and we were correct (damn, I can't say "right" anymore)

CPT Jack Durish - and you are correct, anytime that you say that someone will pay X to see a patient, the price is set. Why would I see you for less than what I am going to see this patient over here for. Market economy was destroyed.

I can declare anything a success if you you let me dictate the terms of success.
"This month none of our troops were CAUGHT buying hookers nor shooting them INSIDE the barracks PROPER! This is our most successful month as a unit so far!"

DaOne Care's website, developed by a friend of Michelle in Canada, was a complete failure. It cost American tax payers millions. Was there even a bid for the contract?

As a former applications and systems architect for major international corporations including web portals, I was appalled at the mismanagement of that project. I had several discussion with others in the industry in which we dreamed of what we could build with all that money and how lavishly we would have lived with the 90% that we would save over the amount budgeted.
