I’m betting that Shapiro just simply did not want to do it. Obviously, he’s not gonna say that to the public. But ultimately, he did not want to join a losing ticket, regardless of whether he would’ve increased its chances.

Why would anyone that is holding a good position want to be subordinate to Harris. Win or lose, there would be to many bad days that you would have to live with if history is any indication.
