Nope. Apples to Oranges and I don't like Floyd either. One has been boxing his whole life, the other MMA for the most part. His striking will be infinitely more telegraphed than any boxer ever has, and to add insult to injury, Tomey said boxers would dominate MMA in the MMA ring....his ass was destroyed. Mac will be given a slow and steady beating by Floyd. I'd pay to see Rousey vs the Curb outside the Mandalay Bay in LV. The curb has a longer hit streak than any skripper outside a military installation, or divorce lawyer against a SM in court. This will be no exception.

First, it's odd that you led with the "I'm not a racist" rationalization.
Second, What is driving your prediction of an upset? SN Greg Wright

The times we live in dictate that I lead with that. A White guy saying that he doesn't like a Black guy? Automatic racism these days, no?!?! I mean, it's IMPOSSIBLE that I simply don't like the douche bag because he's a douchebag...right? It simply MUST be that I'm racist? So...yeah. I lead with that. As for my prediction...I make no claim to being an expert. I dislike Floyd. I am ambivalent towards the other guy (whom I know little about). Therefore, I'm for the other guy. Please give consideration to the fact that my pick might have zero to do with skin color, and loads to do with my personal opinions of the competitors.

SN Greg Wright - The times we live in don't dictate that, when you make a logical argument based on the topic at hand. I think you're trying too hard to make that a "thing". Trolling maybe?
Unfortunately, as you said, your preference isn't based on logic, where one would consider the fighters' actual performance potential as athletes, but instead who's personality you like more. There's nothing wrong with that; I always prefer the humble fighter over the trash talker, even though the humble fighter might be the underdog.
I personally think Mayweather and McGregor are both massive D-Bags, and regardless of who wins, one of these D-Bags will get humbled. However, separating my personal opinion from logic, Mayweather still has the statistical advantage in this match, just as McGregor would if Mayweather fought him in an MMA match. I don't keep up with Boxing, as I think it's very boring, but the comparisons are readily available.
(See, this is a case where I could use your reasoning to say "I'm not supporting him just because he's Black", but I don't need to, because I believe the context shows how I came to my opinion, without emotion involved).

Second Paragraph: I agree. You're totally right. My preference has no basis in logic, and I am not conversant enough with either athlete to dispuste or agree with anything you say about their athletic ability.
Third Para: Again, I can't disagree.
Fourth: Touche. It seems that road goes both ways. I'm happy to move aside and share it with you, and perhaps together we'll get where we're going.

Putting two fighters with two entirely different fighting techniques into the same ring but tell the MMA fighter he can only box and cannot do what he is trained to do, then the advantage is to mayweather. and, another key aspect to consider: will they be using boxing regulation gloves or MMA regulation gloves? Even if Mayweather was told he could fight MMA style, he is not trained to do it, and with that, McGregor would have the advantage. No matter how you look at it, this is a disadvantaged fight no matter what angle or rules are put in place.
