Indiana man withunlicensed gun accidentally shoots self in genitals, police say

A couple of items that make me go hhmm! 1. Why was he next to a girl scout cabin with a handgun? 2. Why is he carrying without the proper permit? Why in heavens name is he carrying it his waistband without a holster and a round in the chamber (meaning if you carry with a chambered round you should have a holster that protects the trigger)?

Obviously needed a firearms safety class

How old does a gun in Indiana need to be in order for it to apply for its license?
