This is very true, but paranoia and fatigue set in.

Hitler used it as well and he was a definite druggy all during World War 2.

Hitler's Doctor was Theodore Morell. He was famous (or infamous) in pre-war Berlin as a doctor who made his practice treating venereal disease. Morell treated Hitler with many odd and dangerous "Medications" that he made himself. Some from ground testicles, some as bizarre as the extract of the fecal matter of Yugoslavian women. All of this is documented in a book extracted from the medical files of Theodore Morell that were discovered after the fall of the wall. Morell treated Hitler with cocaine derivative eye drops once or twice a day, medication to treat flatulence resulting from his gssing in World War One.
No one knows how history may have been different had Hitler not been stoned. Even after he took control of the German Army, it took three (no historian actually includes France) of the strongest military powers, with one nation separated by an ocean and not subject to direct enemy action, fighting on three fronts, across both oceans, nearly four years to win the war.
We should be thankful that many of the German troops, especially "The Leader," were stoned. If not, we may all be speaking German.
