Yep, it is official. He is a douchebag.
“What I’ve decided to do is not cower,” he told Fox 35 Orlando. “I’m a free American. I can do what I want with my possessions." Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

1stSgt Jim S. to borrow from Churchill, we've established what he is, now we are finding out how much he is. My DB-O-Meter 2100 jumps well into the Red Zone whenever this guy's name gets mentioned.

Legally he can do it and he is right in what he is saying. I feel that him creating a discussion and auctioning (selling at a high price), and profiting from a controversial case is where the problem lies.

Zimmerman selling his weapon isn't a big deal. Announcing the fact that he is selling a weapon that killed, caused controversy, and profiting from that is what is causing this ethical dilemma. Legally he is in the clear.
Sadly there are those out there that will buy this weapon.

I don't understand why there is an "ethical dilemma". What is "unethical" about selling a legally used, legally owned, legally discharged, legal firearm? I don't get it.

Ethics can be defined by an individual and a certain mass, it is not always universal. Ethics and law do not always go hand in hand. Legally discharged does not mean ethically discharged.
Like I said, legally he is in the clear and can do as he pleases.
