This is 100 shades of wrong. You knew this woman was dangerous before holding a knife at people, and I don't care if you have been to that resident 5651646 times in the same day. If a firefighter or anyone else in danger, the cops directly refuse to go until 1033 is pushed over the net, we have a serious problem. The explanation MPD gave is straight up garbage.

AS a former Firefighter I would be pissed! If the cops are hurt we never waited to get to them, even when the scene was still unsecured. This is just BS!!!! Then people wonder why there is bad blod between the 2.

What good are injured EMTs and Firefighters to anyone none. The first thing you learn and I am and Instructor is that you make sure the scene is safe before you go in. AS we can not carry weapons if you are paid in the State of Texas
