I've been following this fairly close, and I'm still awaiting any explanation from Trump. So far, he's just complaining that his place was "raided" and that it was politically motivated. However, he has not spoken about the actual reason(s) behind why the search happened. It's very apparent that he took documents when he left office, and some of them appear to have been classified.
-Those documents belong to all Americans, not to Trump personally. He should not have taken them.
-He apparently kept some documents after being told to return them (via grand jury subpoena).
-He complained when those documents were taken from him (via warrant).
-If they were classified, he committed a crime by keeping them.
-If he claims to have declassified them prior to leaving office, he should be able to document that.
-If they're nuclear documents, he couldn't even have declassified them on his own. The DOE would have had to be involved in that decision.
Trump could clear up a lot of this by allowing the warrant to be released. I don't think he will, because I think the details will be very problematic for him and he won't be able to control the narrative.

Funny...if they have found them, or something similar, they would have leaked the results already.
It's amazing how you'll trust the FBI with this, but overlook the four FISA warrant applications where they lied to a judge, an assistant director of the FBI lied under oath, and had a FBI attorney convicted for altering a piece of exculpatory evidence.

It's funny how you guys constantly make excuses for Trump no matter what he does. It's actually not funny, it's sad this weird mentality you guys have where you worship him.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff Not making excuses. There have been so many lies, by federal law enforcement and intelligence professionals regarding the former president that its become the joke de jour. Again, your judgement is clouded by hatred of the man that you'll overlook outright lies because of it.
