Interesting that none of those claims are lies, yet you say they are. Compare that with the thousands of confirmed lies from the trump campaign

Trump didn’t ban abortions, Trump’s campaign specifically as policy says it will not cut social security and Medicare. Those are lies the Harris Walz campaign is pushing. The economy was recovering as Trump left office. The dollar lost 20% of its value under Harris and Biden, that is significant to most Americans.

In my house, it's 'Holla at Kamala'. Her parents are Marxist so she's well versed in lying, not "fweedom".

MSgt Steve Sweeney Your defense of Marx and Engels is duly noted. I'm sure you'd say Marxism and socialism would work if only the right people were in charge.

Well, it's been tried in about 40% of the countries of the world and every one of those countries have been a failure.

LTC Trent Klug - Of course you want to put words in my mouth. Assuming comes second nature for people like you, which is likely why you are so wrong so often.

Capitalism works primarily because it is what most closely aligns with human nature and the laws of nature, like evolution ... which is funny when you think about it, because many on the right don't believe in evolution and, at least when they pray, prefer a magic dictator in the sky that grants wishes if they pray hard enough.

That isn't to say Marxism isn't an interesting philosophy with some pointed and spot on critiques of the pitfalls and failings of Capitalism. But in your black and white manner of thinking, you can't even be bothered to consider any of it. You just have to say it is bad without ever really knowing or being able to say why. Yes it has failed. Many things failed numerous times before they were adjusted and eventually succeeded. In fact, that is how most things end up working in the end.

What I am curious about is how you attribute Marxism to lying. What in the philosophy of Marxism would consider a lie? Be specific.

MSgt Steve Sweeney Oh, where to begin?

How about the strict regimentation of society to rebuild it as a new breed and then governing them to be a self-destructive lot and conditioned to be amoral. Especially where the environment is concerned.
How about his denial of a soul?
How about his thinking it was okay to rob from the well-off to 'ensure' to achieve equality?
Or that with the lack or absence of work or remuneration, a stateless/classless society will create, or continue to create more than existing system?
Or the idea that technological innovations were a threat to the working classes?
Or that marxism/socialism will bring freedom to the masses?
How about Das Kapital used a falsified study using manipulated data?

Just a few.

LTC Trent Klug - I noticed you did not cite or quote Marx even once to make your point, but rather listed off things you have been told and believe are true or a matter of interpretation. And while you may not agree with something, nothing you cited is a "lie".

For example, Marx did say (best translation) "Religion is the opium of the people.", and I am sure you consider that negative, while I can see how religion has been widely used to manipulate people. Regardless, Marx goes on.. "It is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of our soulless conditions.” In Marx's day, the use of opium was considered medicinal and not viewed as an addictive narcotic. In his full statement he was actually advocating for religion and the need for a soul - far from denying the existence of a soul. He was actually saying that religion provides a soul.

And to quote or paraphrase another philosopher, "It isn't what you know that gets you in trouble. It is what you know for certain that just ain't so" - Twain
