I have a VERY VERY novel, yet practical solution.
"He who breaks the law with a gun in hand, spends the rest of his life in the can"

It seems they blame the uptick on lawful gun owners yet again, What will they do for the criminals?

What is to keep the pedestrians from just walking on the public streets if the sidewalks are privatized? Will they then privatize the streets? If so, what about through traffic? Will they be subject to proving they have a reason to drive through the area and be required to submit to a search before being allowed to pass?

What happens if illegal materials are found in the possession of one of the people searched by the private owners? Will the police be called? If so, how will their 4th Amendment rights hold up?

Cummon SSgt! You should know already that some dumb ass is going to turn this into a race issue. Some dummies are just looking for ways to turn a situation into a race issue!

LCpl Emanuel W. - Brother, they already did! I read the article and some person, already started talking about the inclusiveness and could it be used to deny access to black people.
Like they deny access at the courthouse, the airport and the stadium

SSG Roger Ayscue - EXACTLY! Someone always has to claim "THIS IS RACIST!" when things don't go their way. Those people are the problem and are not happy with the fact that things are about to get difficult for them. So, why not play the race card when you're losing? It puts fear into the law-makers, and regulations don't get implemented or existing laws don't get enforced. Thereby creating more victims and a "Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free Card" for the criminals.
