Yes heartfelt. So what? Since when have emotions and heart strings been a valid standard in logical decisions.
There are reasons why people are denied security clearances. Not everyone who is denied a security clearance is a spy, is a terrorist, is infiltrating the military for nefarious purposes. Many, probably most are in fact not a security threat at all. But spies, and terrorists, and infiltrators only have to slip through the system "once." The people conducting the background checks can never be wrong, if it is a real spy, a real terrorist, or a real infiltrator.
This is not criminal court where the standard is "beyond a reasonable doubt." This is not civil court where the standard is the "the preponderance of the evidence." NO ONE has a right to a security clearance. The standard is "there is nothing in your background that gives us concern."
Forty out of some 10,000 is not pervasive discrimination. it is cleaning up a landmine the previous administration left (intentionally left in my Scientific Wild Ass Guess) in the White House as they went out the door.

Agreed. The left will whine about racism and unfairness. No one has a RIGHT to serve

Are we talking about these “immigrants”? Even my wife had to be investigated, years ago, in order for my clearance. And, some of the most patriotic citizens, I have known are those that took the legal method for becoming a citizen. Not so true for those fast tracked. However, this tends to identify this more recent issue.

Chalk this up to FAKE News.
If one were to research some of the illegals who have been discharged or are in the process of being discharged they would find there are several problems with their enlistments like using false documents, unable to pass background checks (goes back to the lies they used to join in the first place). I spent almost 38 years in uniform and have worked alongside of first and second generation immigrants and never had a problem with any of them.
