Follow the (political) science.
Democrats, for better (then) or worse (now) have become the party of vaccinations, quarantines, and lockdowns. Vaccine popularity is waning, vaccine fervor is entirely gone. And support for quarantines and lockdowns is completely eradicated. Democrats hold the power so continuing these unpopular policies as midterms approach is not supported by the (political) science.
