It's all well and good to have our warriors all jacked up on steroids and kicking the snot out of the bad guy, but the last thing we need is to flood the VA system in a few years with 100,000 cases of veterans with man boobs.

Transgender folks DO GET T injections. The point of my post is that in a controlled environment it is possible. I have no idea why you would be offended about a legit medical comparisson.

Yes it does! We are gathering data from that to determine the effects of free testosterone in the body over a longer duration and using that data to help develop a safe T replacement in the combat environment.

Adrenaline can certainly boost short term combat performance SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. It is downright weird that somebody would want to inject the testosterone hormone into adult males. If a male had lower than usual testosterone levels I could see the rationale for boosting that individuals levels.
1. However a control group receiving a placebo injection and another group receiving a testosterone injection to determine the impact on muscle breakdown seems to be risky. “The idea is to see if you can stop a soldier from breaking down muscle during calorie restriction and whether they will be better able to perform a repeat mission,” Pasiakos said. “What we are trying to look at is if we are not keeping up the right hormonal levels, are they going to be worse off in the next mission or next training exercise.”
2. Who on earth was the "genius" who came up with the idea that maintaining hormonal balance within some prescribed levels is good. Who is studying the impact of giving male soldiers more than enough testosterone to function properly?
3. However the following study seems more reasonable "The Army also is studying whether Omega-3 fatty acids can help recruits and special operations soldiers focus."
