Same thing with World War I veterans in canada. White veterans were given a parcel of land but indigenous ones were not.

Not sure if you knew but my wife's great great grandfather was Canada's number two sniper in World War I and he was killed in combat a month before World War I ended.

In this video you will see me at the beginning walking in my dress blues. This was on November 11th 2018, Henry Norwest has at least two Canadian Legion Posts named after him. The local phone company did a documentary on him. My aunt Marilyn is the speaker of this video.
