An interesting article from 1989 on Bill Mauldin. Mauldin was famous for his Stars and Stripes cartoon strip Willie and Joe written during World War II. Maudlin was born October 29, 1921 and died January 22, 2003. He may be one of the few who won a battle against Patton.
