According to our friends on the left, this was masterful Biden putting an uninformed reporter in their place.
She asked if he was willing to negotiate and he responded by asking if she new the specifics of the bill. That wasn't the question, Biden.
If your problem is that the current proposal is too general and not specific enough (with which I would disagree, but let's just go with that), then you respond with "Yes, I am willing to negotiate, but their current proposal is too general, and we will need to see more specifics before we can deal."
But responding with "do you know what is in the proposal?" (which I refuse to discuss) is just being a dick. One of the biggest and most consistent criticisms of Trump - so consistent even most of his supporters acknowledged it as a problem - was that he was a dick. He treated reporters, ESPECIALLY reporters who had the temerity to challenge him or ask tough questions very poorly. More than a few folks voted against him for this reason alone (or this was what pushed them over the line).
Here, Biden is doing the exact same thing, and largely gets a pass - even praise from many on the left.
