I agree. I remember after he was sworn in he was walking toward a building with a Marine honor guard inside. Some one told Joe salute the Marines so Joe says “salute the Marines”. If he speaks extemporaneous he goes off track. Joe could not remember what branch of service Beau served in and what war zone he was in.

How about the time he went to A'stan to pin a Silver Star on a Navy captain - when in fact he was talking about either Obama giving Army SGT Kyle White the MoH or when he watched Maj. Gen. David Rodriguez pinned the Bronze Star on PFC Foltz or the time he actually pinned a Bronze star on SGT Workman - no one's really sure what event he recalled.

And this was on the campaign trail and the press said nothing.
