Sanders played for some horrifically bad teams, Marino had a shot; Smith, Tarkenton, Page, and Eller had multiple opportunities, several of the others had good teams but just never got through the big game. Just a small warm up for the big game.

Barry was a great one, but my mind quickly went to Marino. Still don't understand how Marino doesn't have a ring.

CPT (Join to see) had the same thought. Dan Fouts was another- then remember back and they scored 35 or more points a game and threw 50+ times a game... and the D gave up 3 or more points than the offense scored. Remember Walter Payton played a lot of years before getting his ring in his last year. That team was one of the best defenses ever. Great observation.

Absolutely. It is an interesting situation when teams try to put players around a superstar. Like Brees and Brady now, if you can get the right combo around them, it doesn't have to be a dream full of all stars. Maj Marty Hogan -

SP5 Mark Kuzinski he did but wouldn't it be great o call your shot like that and leave on top? Makes you wonder if he would have moved to a team with more talent around him.
