Looking back at 2016... a gift from the Obama Administration. The equally inept and illegitimate Biden Administration [and Gen Millie] gave us the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan that armed the Taliban.
Our government can't seem to figure out how to run on a budget. Instead, they print more money to make up for their shortcomings and this contributes to the record inflation we're seeing. The corruption in our government runs so deep that every federal agency and department is compromised. Nobody looks to America for leadership anymore because it simply isn't there. Who is running this country? Who is leading?
Am going to digress a bit because the above article is from Aug 2016. Who was in charge then?
==================================
2016 was Obama's last year sitting in the Oval Office but he's still calling the shots and telling his cognitively challenged former VP what to do. The botched withdrawal in Afghanistan has Obama's fingerprints all over it. Hillary was supposed to win in 2016 but underestimated the people's support for Trump and the people said, "No!"
Love Trump or hate him, the people elected him back in 2016 and that was despite Hillary's best efforts to rig the election. Hillary's State Department lost track of billions and couldn't account for it. Just imagine what the country could have accomplished and where we would be right now had the Democrats not wasted four years wasting more taxpayer dollars investigating Trump trying to end his political career with fake dossiers (paid for by Hillary), COVID, corrupt agencies working to undermine his success (FBI, DOJ, CIA, IRS, EPA, CDC, DHS... ), etc. Obama claimed we wouldn't see growth and Trump somehow managed because he did what his predecessor didn't and Trump held government accountable. He fired the corrupt leaders of the FBI and other federal agencies and put in new management. He seated justices to fix our broken judicial system. He took steps to secure our borders and supported the military, police, and rule of law. America prospered from 2016 to 2020.
The first thing Biden did was sign a bunch of Executive Orders undoing all Trump's initiatives.
He didn't even know what he was signing and was taking instruction from Nancy Pelosi. Now we are dealing with hyperinflation, we are being marginalized by China which is trying to unseat America as the premier SuperPower, and our economy is a shadow of what it was just four years ago.
The Trump Administration inherited a mess, tried to fix it, and now it's back to the same old thing, except now we have a sitting President who's not up to task and whose election is dubious because the Electoral College vote was tainted with manipulated vote counts and mail-in ballot fraud -- enough to alter the outcome of the General Election. Biden won 3 of the swing states (GA, AZ, and WI) with .3%, .4%, and .4% of the vote respectively. Doing the math: AZ = 11 electoral votes, WI = 10 electoral votes and GA = 16 electoral votes. 11 + 10 + 16 = 37. Subtracting that from Biden (306) and giving it to Trump (232), we now have Trump with 269 and Biden with 269. Biden flipped MI and PA where the races were still very close and within a couple percent where election fraud could easily have made up the difference. Had Biden not flipped MI or PA, Trump would have easily won. But this is really getting off topic and it's the subject of another discussion.

Suffice it to say, when there is no accountability in government [which is a given for the Democratic Party and typical of the GOP Establishment (which is like Democrat lite) as well], it hemorrhages money and without specific guidance and direction falls under the weight of its own corruption.
I don't expect that Socialism is the answer for this country as historically it always leads to decreased economic output. If History gives us any indication, the countries that adopt it ALWAYS implode economically < Venezuela being the most current example in our hemisphere... and Socialism is just a short transition step to tyranny. You can dress up Socialism with fancy adjectives just as Progressive (which it is not) and Democratic (which it is not), but when you peel off all the layers, it's still Socialism.
For America to prosper, it needs to return to free and fair elections, restoring control of the government back to the people, and we need to elect leaders that will hold themselves and their peers accountable for the mismanagement and corruption that goes on.
