When I was stationed in Germany in 1978 one of our E-7s who was nearing retirement had been a crew member on one of these beast. Not an easy creature to move, Especially in small German villages ! These cannons where constantly being moved.

We used to joke, all you need is 1 gunbunny with a hammer and a phone. You ring the phone he whacks the thing with the hammer. Th gun isn't needed

I’ve seen the Atomic Annie at Fort Sill, OK, CW5 Jack Cardwell. It’s notable in that it actually fired an atomic round at the Nevada Test Site in 1953. Here’s a photo (not mine) of the Fort Sill gun.
