NEWSOM: "That said, every single request we've made of the Trump administration to get through these wildfires has been met. They have been absolutely responsive, and I have been very public in acknowledging that and applauding that."

So is he afraid to publicly admit to helping California? I don’t get it he so vocal about some of the petty issues but not a peep publicly here.
Can you you explain?

MSgt Michael Bischoff - Perhaps President Trump is has not a public peep because he doesn't want to offend voters like me. I'm tired of people expecting sympathy and assistance in dealing with problems of their own making.
Governor Newsom's comment "That is unacceptable. I completely reject this notion that it's going to take 10 years. Look. We've had a decade-plus of mismanagement of our largest investor-owned utility, PG&E - greed and complete dismissal of public safety." is utter nonsense.
Fire science is real simple: Fuel-Oxygen-Heat. The one most easily managed, and managed with economic benefits is fuel. California has GOT to allow managed reduction of dead fall and undergrowth. Until then this problem won't go away until the forests burn down. What is the environmental impact of massive wildfires? How are all the species they protected served by having the forest burn down around them?

I did read it, like I stated above why has he not mentioned publicly. He is so vocal on petty issues , so why isn’t he bragging about helping lowly California

MSgt Michael Bischoff - So you are upset that President Trump isn't lauding himself over "his" assistance to California. You are such a Pooh Bear.

MSgt Michael Bischoff NO ONE has suggested removing trees from any proximity to power lines. We will cut the power hundreds of thousands of citizens, but, “Oh no, we cannot cut down a Green Tree”!
The City of Laguna Beach, perhaps 50 miles down the CA Coast from Los Angeles employs several herds of Goats (as many as 100 Goats per herd), to clear the underbrush on the sides of their canyons. Laguna has suffered fires a few years ago, now they are being proactive in reducing the cities risk of fires.
