The Bible is a two part Story. Part 1. God verbally told Moses face to face how the world and all things in it came to be, and the beginning of the Nation we now call Israel. And part 2. Tell the story of God sending his Only begotten Son to save the human race, due to Adam and Eva's sin of disobedience that doomed all of Mankind. Everything that we see, touch, feel and know. All started at Genesis 1:1 , now what God wants to know from us is " Do you believe what he left on record ? " if not, then nothing else can help you find that eternal peace that passeth all understanding. The Bible day's " That without Faith, it is impossible to please God. For he that cometh to God MUST Believe that he is, and is a rewarded of them that DILIGENTLY seek him.

PFC Jonathan Albano - Flood stories older than the Bible: Epic of Gilgamesh. Many cultures also have their own versions of a flood story that predate the Bible. So this is just another story to add to the multitude of legends.
Virgin birth - yawn. That's been told before too in other cultures.
It's all stories told in the third person. Nothing is from Jesus' point of view. It was written long after he allegedly died. It's not even complete. Many, many books were left out. Women had a much bigger part but of course the men who compiled the Bible couldn't have women have any type of role.
To me, religions is all bs. It's regurgitated and recycled from pagan beliefs and then changed. You have people who are fighting, murdering, raping, pillaging over it. You have sects within each religion fighting each other over who is right and who is wrong. You have the three Abrahamic religions - Christianity, Islam and Judaism, who have more similarities than differences and yet people fight each other over who is right and who isn't.
Oh God didn't smite humanity for rejecting him? I'm sorry what was the flood about then? Seriously? Mass genocide. Murdering infants. The list goes on. God is a petty and vengeful creature in your belief structure. Deny it all you want. Kind of schizo. Nothing you said will convince me anything differently.

Why do Christians get so worked up about "saving" people and then telling those who don't agree "well you'll deal with god when you die." Yeah if there is a god I will. And? How is that YOUR problem? You said that Moses did not invent the Brazen serpent on a pole and our pharmaceutical business has that at the symbol today. Well your right, God invented that symbol.

Excellent information I am familiar with a few mainly Josephus I have a translated copy of his writings. Interesting if you can wade through the hundreds and hundreds of pages. Thank you for sharing this article. I can say I actually learned something today.
