Really?? You mean the refineries are going to actually be shut down for damage instead of maintenance, quote unquote?? My son puts in oil pipelines and has been down to Houston plenty of times and this is what he says.

Can't process crude without electricity and there is none in most areas. Its not the first time these facilities have dealt with severe weather and are hardened. Also understand these plants have maintance schedules that have to be kept.

My shop had equipment to take care of and we changed annual services to semi annual and semi annual to quarterly and quarterly to monthly. We also made site visits just to survey the status of the equipment and repaired or replaced anything we found not up to our standards. Keepin equipment up and running requires an intensive maintance schedule. You don't wait till things break because if you do you go from a simple issue to something worse.
