I sure wish I could have back all the CD's that my ex-fiance' laid claim to....that I collected, BEFORE WE EVER MET. Time Life Music's "Monster Ballads" being a couple of the best. But I had others that you just can't get any more. Hell, some of them I bought when I was over seas on active duty!!! There was especially one I can't replace by HEART, because it was never released in the USA, (I don't remember the name of the album). I bought it when I was either in Okinawa, or Japan. She got my big, rack stereo system that I bought for myself in high school, too. Techniques brand. 52 disc CD changer that I got separately as a gift for one of my birthday's. VERY powerful speakers, and amp. Several vinyls that can't be replaced. .................sigh.....................................................
Have you ever seen the "Any Format Stereo" that is out in the market now??? Hammacher Schlemmer has them, (web site of the same name), and I've compared prices with other retail outlets and the prices don't vary at all that I could see...which is about $275.00....$280.00...ish.... Comes as a compact box unit that LITERALLY plays every format of recorded music you can think of...including 8 Track. I don't remember who the actual manufacturer is though. The only customer complaints that I saw were that the speakers are kinda weak. But that can be remedied. Oh!!!! And H.S. also has a traditional 70's / 80's style handheld cassette player that has a USB plug in port on top to convert Cassettes into digital. I've been wanting to buy both of them, but the economy biden and his followers have created has put these plans on hold.

I understand about the bind Brandon put us in. No, I haven't heard of such an animal, I'll have to check out HS site. Ever wonder if they'll bring back the 8-track. Some artists are releasing cassettes again, still got one really old boom box left. I even have a Laser Disc player; I watch David Gilmor and others on it. Shit is always changing. I got a rack stereo down in the basement had a Teac reel to reel until somebody took it and sold it for drugs, bastard really pissed me off!
