"The Norwegian Nobel Committee is responsible for selecting the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates. A nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize may be submitted by any persons who are qualified to nominate."
It wouldn't happen this year anyway as the selection process and submission already occurred and the awards are given out in December.

Based on the recommendation of the President Moon Jae-in, the precedents of Theo. Roosevelt and the Russo–Japanese War, and Jimmy Carter for the Camp David Accords he has more standing as a laureate than two others I can think of. That said, unlikely to happen because of the politics of it all versus the actual need to "earn" one.
