Lehigh Valley school district must allow after school club run by Satanic group, federal judge...
Saucon Valley leaders tried to rescind their approval of the group after receiving backlash from the community. The court decided it is protected by the First Amendment

SPC Gary C. - From your attached article:
"The After School Satan Club is run by The Satanic Temple, a religious organization that promotes free speech, scientific inquiry and individual liberties. The temple's ideals are rooted in secular humanism. It advocates against hate groups, corporal punishment in public schools and religiously motivated attempts to restrict reproductive rights.
The temple's after school clubs, which have popped up in various districts in the U.S., allow students to participate in community service projects, nature-based activities, games, and arts and crafts.
Based on the name, no I do not agree with the judge. However based on the tenets of the organization, I do agree with the mission statement, but not the name.

Interesting. It’s interesting that the media sees religion and politics as being bad in school while embracing the political agenda of Progressives Woke and transgender policies that is political also.
When we see a political discussion happening in a church there isn’t anything wrong with that. People are just discussing the morals and values they want to see in elected officials. I suppose that voting for school board members makes schools political by definition, so there already is politics in schools. There is nothing wrong with this.
Getting back to religion and discussion about politics: There is nothing wrong with this as long as the discussion doesn’t translate into giving authority to a religion in the form of a Theocracy. When just discussing policies and actions wanted… well this is "Freedom of Speech that should be respected by all". I suppose this goes back to nonreligions people being afraid religion will take over everything, so they made up the silly idea that you have to completely separate religion from government. Unfortunately, this idea has been trampling the Freedom of Speech Rights of religious people for quite a while now.
I realize there was some half-baked ruling that this separation needs to extend to political discussions in churches, and that appears to be the current status quo. In plain English any such ruling isn’t worth the paper it’s written on… in other words if it were properly vetted today by the SCOTUS, it would be found unconstitutional. MHO
